The Guardian (A Josh Kennelly Gripping Crime Thriller Book 3)

The Guardian

The Guardian is a work of fiction inspired by real-life events.

“Private, professional Nevada Guardian, April Parks, pleaded guilty to six felony charges including the exploitation of an older person, theft, and perjury” – Darcy Spears, KNTV, 5 November 2018.

District Judge Tierra Jones imprisoned 53-year-old Parks for 16 to 40 years.

The Guardian’s genesis is crimes against the elderly, like the guardianships of April Parks, that occurred and are occurring in different states of the U.S.

Synopsis:

When war hero, Josh Kennelly is told that prisoners on death row in the U.S. have more rights than elderly wards, he doesn’t believe it.

Then he receives what he thinks is a crazy call from an Afghanistan war veteran claiming that his father’s been kidnapped by a guardian.

Reluctantly, Josh gets involved and discovers the murky guardianship industry where judges, guardians, lawyers, and doctors are complicit in a “get rich quick” racket.

Can he expose these omnipotent criminals?

Wow, this is one scary book! And to think that it is so easy to abuse the elderly is totally frightening!
